Pointe West Performances Invites the Community to its Full-Length Production of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’

A midsummer nights dream

For many families the economic recession, enduring cost of health care, and unemployment statuses are just a few of the financial challenges weighing heavily on minds each night.  What really hit home for us at Pointe West Performances,  being that our mission is to bring the arts to the community cost-free, is the fact that many of these families can’t even imagine being in a theatre.  Along with the expense aspect, we are hearing that it’s not inviting and often not keeping up with the times. That’s when the professional dancers and actors of Pointillism Jazz Consort had a dream… actually A Midsummer Night’s Dream…where they could share the stage with The Infinite Legacy Project and present a modernized production completely free to families and the community.

The dream is coming true on June 25th, 2013 at 7pm with a full-length production of the age-old story, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”  Follow the magic to the 5-Star Akron Summit County Library Auditorium where students, families, friends, and community members are requested for an up-close experience of this live professional dance theatre event. Flash happenings are scheduled to precede the performance in the library’s state-of-the-art Amphitheatre at 6pm.

True magic will come to life in this theatre, we’ve seen it again and again, and it is absolutely transformative.   Be one of the hundreds of people who are directly involved in live performance, whether it’s onstage, in flash happenings, in audience participation segments, as an educational ambassador, or cultural collaborator.  We can’t describe it; you have to experience it for yourself!
